All nine Enneagram types
The nine Enneagram types sit in three triads: gut, heart, and head. Every type here gets a short, honest profile of what drives it, what it fears, how stress shows up, and how it grows. Most people recognize themselves in two or three; that is normal, and reading your runner-ups is where the interesting parts are.
Find out which one you areThe Gut Types
The gut triad leads with instinct and moves before it deliberates. Anger is the emotion underneath: Eights push it outward, Ones turn it on themselves, and Nines smooth it over until it barely shows.
The Heart Types
The heart triad reads the room first and asks how it comes across. Shame is the underlying feeling: each handles it in its own way, by earning love, winning admiration, or protecting a one-of-a-kind identity.
The Head Types
The head triad thinks its way through life and plans for what could go wrong. Fear sits underneath: each copes by retreating into expertise, seeking certainty and allies, or outrunning trouble with options.
How the nine types fit together
Each type sits at one point of the Enneagram symbol. Neighbors on the circle act as wings, and every type also connects to two others through its directions of stress and growth, which is why a result that feels almost right usually points next door. The Enneagram Wiki explains the system in detail.
